Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell is an American actor from the United States. Born March 27, 1970, she is 5'9 tall. Mitchell is most famous as Dr. Juliet Burke in ABC's Lost television show as well as FBI agent Erica Evans in V. Gia. The Escape Clause. Mitchell appears in Eric Kripke's television show Revolution that airs on NBC. Joseph Day Mitchell is her stepfather. Josephine Marian Mitchell (nee Jenkins) and her mother are both Dallas-based lawyers. Mitchell and her mother moved from Dallas Texas in 1970 where her mother got married to Joseph Mitchell in 1975. Mitchell was a student at Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and Visual Arts which is a magnet public high school. Mitchell is the oldest sister among the three siblings, along with Kristina Kristie Mitchell & Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. In 1991, she graduated at Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and she was also enrolled in the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked for six years in Dallas Theater Center and a year in the Encore Theater. She is currently known for her character Emily Prentiss, Special Agent in CBS's crime show Criminal Minds. In June 2010, it was said that her role in Criminal Minds would be reduced for the sixth season. Brewster's character was removed from Criminal Minds in March 2011 but could be back later.
